Being among trees is thought to lower stress, reduce symptoms of depression, lower blood pressure and,
boost your energy.
You don't have to go deep into the woods. Just find a city, county, state park with trees, and take a stroll.
This past Sunday on "Sunday Morning," there was a very interesting segment on finding and seeking silence in the woods, and the benefits that come from it.
No cardio walking is necessary here. Just go on a stroll, and if a stream, creek, lake or pond is nearby...so much the better.
Take a friend and indulge in a Forest Bath. You'll feel clean and refreshed.
