You don't have to go to the Gym to do this exercise. Just breathe in deeply, bring your shoulders up to your ears and when you exhale, start lowering your shoulders. Repeat this five times and you'll start to feel a lessening of tension, especially in your neck and upper back. The real benefit is that it increases the output of endorphins. Also, listen to calming music. Take a warm bath in epsom salts. Smell some fresh air -whether it's raining, or the sun is shining. One more thing: give yourself a hug. Why not? You deserve it.
